I have been using Diskeeper for a number of years. I have seen system performance improvements and reliability. I have it installed on my personal laptop which I connect to my company network. I was the former IT chief a number of years ago as an addition to my sales duties. My primary duties involve originating mortgages at present and financial planning for a number of clients.
My son is the IT Director for a multi-billion dollar Real Estate developer and I have him interested in Diskeeper Pro. I bet him that he couldn’t detect the InvisiTasking and automatic features.
I have been a beta tester for numerous hardware and software programs over the past 20 years and that leaves my hard drive very fragmented. The Diskeeper Professional edition is so far the best defrag software that I have used. I can not tell if it’s running or not unless I open the console and run analyze to just be sure. I also move large amounts of data to and from my laptop to backup hard drives, my desktop at work and the LAN storage at work. I have found that system slowdowns due to fragmentation are pretty much a thing of the past.
I primarily use my computer as an extension of my office PC, as well as internet search platform, database repository and media center.

Diskeeper is working fine for us. It makes my network administration tasks easier. Before the computers weren’t getting defragged at all because it would have had to be done after hours. Diskeeper makes my work easier because I don’t have to worry about the drives becoming fragmented. I recently started this job and when I checked out the drives one day they were the most fragmented I had ever seen. Now there is little if no fragmentation on them.
We use the Diskeeper software on Citrix, SQL and Exchange servers. I believe the servers are benefiting because when you have that much fragmentation the performance of the server will decrease.

The effects of Diskeeper are immediate and long-lasting. If I were to defrag manually it’d be every few months; around the time computer performance would be noticeably slower. It actually only took Diskeeper a few minutes to clean-up the computers. It’s incredibly fast!
I’m happy to promote Diskeeper! It is nice to know that people won’t be coming to me complaining how slow their computer is. Everyone who has complained in the near past has stopped since I installed Diskeeper through the push-install. Diskeeper has, in essence, increased my budget because we don’t have to purchase new computers as often as they’ll perform optimally for a much longer time.
Diskeeper works better than advertised. It’s extremely fast, undetectable and provides great peace of mind knowing the computers are staying on top of the single biggest performance bottleneck, disk fragmentation. And it’s nice that it does it without the need for an administrator to be logged on or run it manually.
Definitely, I have observed more system stability. We have some users here who would always complain about how slow their computers were and that has completely stopped.
Diskeeper has saved us money because our machines are performing like new. We were able to push-off upgrading to new machines from every three years to every four or five!

We do Real estate, and need to take pictures of properties & installed Diskeeper to handle the fragmentation. When we search our files we find they now open very fast.
My system flies! After just a few days having installed the new Diskeeper I started to see how much faster my applications open. It's almost as if they were running off Ram memory instead of a hard disk! I have to admit I was not expecting this much difference before I installed it.

Daily defrag really improves the performance. We have had issues of contamination with some very sophisticated viruses, Adware and Spyware, so our IT guy has had a real mental work out. The viruses self-regenerate themselves.
We have Diskeeper on our main machines. We are a Real Estate firm with about 15 agents and 2 employees. We try to keep things simple, using the KISS principle. We still use peer-to-peer LAN networking. If I have a problem, generally it is isolated to one machine. We can not afford the time to fuss with whole system problems.

I'm a commercial real estate agent. I use Diskeeper home on my personal laptop. In my opinion, Diskeeper should be marketed towards laptop owners. If you have a laptop, especially an older one, you're always complaining about how slow it is. It's amazing how Diskeeper improves the performance of my laptop. I would think that laptops that exclusively came with Diskeeper would sell better on a side-by-side comparison. |
